Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress who was born in Berkeley on the 1st October 1995. She is a well-known actor in the film Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2007) and Chrissie's Content House

Asia Argento grew up in Rome Italy. Her family is comprised of actors, and she has also been working in both fields. Her debut came when she was only nine years old, in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni (1985). The film featured her in a lead role as Cristina Comencini in her first film Zoo, 1989. Michele Soavi directed The Church 1989. In 1989, she portrayed Nanni Moretti's baby in Red Wood Pigeon. (Also directed by Moretti). Close Friends (written and directed by Michele Placido) was when Asia's acting career really started to blossom. She played roles that ranged from young roles to becoming more mature. The film received an enthusiastic reception during the Cannes International Film Festival. The Phantom of the Opera was her third film with her dad. Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome were her previous two. The Phantom of the Opera is her third movie with her Father, her first two movies being Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's absorbed and intense approach to acting was also utilized by Giuseppe Piccioni in Condannato a Nozze. Patrice Chereau was the director. Queen Margot. It was a role that was internationally acclaimed. She worked again with Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion in 1995, giving her a second David di Donatello as in addition to a Grolla D'oro. Asia started to direct short films in the year 1994. She made two: Prospettive, 1996, she directed a document about her father; and Abel/Asia from 1998. Both focused on the famous film director Abel Ferrara. This latter was presented by the Rome Film Festival. Asia's debut feature film was Scarlet Diva (2000) in 1999. In it, she acted as the lead actress as well as wrote the screenplay. The film released May 2000, both in Italy as well as throughout the globe. It was also released in Brooklyn, New York it received an award from the Williamsburg film festival. Anna Lou, the first daughter of the couple was born in January of 2001. In 2002 Asia appeared in The Red Siren with Jean Marc Barr, and Rob Cohen's Action-Thrille, directed by Vin Diesel. Asia is the writer of a number of short stories that were released in several magazines.
